Manufacturer-Recommended Parts

Manufacturer-recommended parts are an important factor to keep your Volkswagen running at its optimum performance. We offer the same high-quality parts your vehicle was designed and built with, and we keep a large inventory of these certified parts in stock. And to help all of our customers, even those who don't live close by, we back all of our genuine VW parts with a nationwide warranty good for a minimum of 12 months / 12,000 miles.

Convenience at Volkswagen of Boise

If you prefer not to wait while your vehicle is being serviced, please ask about our courtesy shuttle. Volkswagen loaners are also available for major services. If you are unable to make it to the dealership during business hours, early bird and night owl drop-offs are available. We also offer a complimentary car wash and vacuum to each of our service customers.

-Master Certified VW Technician and Shop Foreman - Rick Barsby

With a Master Certified VW Technician on staff, VW Boise has the most experienced service department of anyone in the area. To become a Master Technician, Rick had to take over 500 hrs of intensive training. While most VW technicians have certifications in 1 or 2 specialties, Rick is certified in all specialties offered by VW, this includes: Engine Performance, Electrical, Transmission, Chassis, Routan and E-Mobility/Hybrid.

 Maintaining this certification requires continuous online training and hands on courses. It takes true dedication to the Volkswagen brand to complete these requirements. While there are currently about 5,000 Volkswagen Technicians in the country, only about 300 have achieved the Master Certification level. As automotive technology evolves, our auto maintenance and repair center must evolve as well. That is why Rick's training is never complete.

Rick has been with the company here for over 22 years, and his passion for the brand bleeds over into his personal life resulting in him owning multiple VWs including some of the classics we all love. He even hosts the Bus Pilots annual get together and road rally here at the dealership. For Rick it's not just a job, it's a lifestyle.
